Narrative:
B737 following an MD11 inbound to lax encountered severe wake turbulence resulting in personal injuries to an unknown number of persons aboard the B737. I was training on the downey radar position when this happened. To the best of my knowledge, there was never a loss of separation.

Title: AN ARRIVING B737 ENCOUNTERS WAKE TURB FROM A PRECEDING MD11 AT 4500 FT INBOUND TO LAX. THE RPTR CLAIMS THAT PERSONAL INJURIES TO AN UNKNOWN NUMBER OF PEOPLE WERE RPTED. STANDARD SEPARATION WAS MAINTAINED BTWN THE ACFT.
Narrative: B737 FOLLOWING AN MD11 INBOUND TO LAX ENCOUNTERED SEVERE WAKE TURB RESULTING IN PERSONAL INJURIES TO AN UNKNOWN NUMBER OF PERSONS ABOARD THE B737. I WAS TRAINING ON THE DOWNEY RADAR POS WHEN THIS HAPPENED. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE, THERE WAS NEVER A LOSS OF SEPARATION.
