Narrative:

Very short taxi from parking to takeoff position. Tower asked if ready for takeoff. First officer asked captain if ready, captain responded yes. Instructed cleared for takeoff. Before takeoff checklist rapidly accomplished. 'Flight attendant prepare for takeoff' announcement not given (normal duty of relief pilot) even though challenge of checklist read -- response undetermined. Lesson -- do not rush. Do not accept clearance onto runway unless takeoff checklist complete. Some flight attendants not seated during takeoff roll. No injuries.
