Narrative:
I wrote up a flapper valve that had fallen inside the lavatory. I assumed the problem was taken care of when I saw the maintenance man taking care of the problem. He never signed the work as being done and I flew to sarasota from orlando with an open write-up.

Title: AN EMB120 WAS DISPATCHED WITH AN OPEN LOGBOOK ITEM THAT WAS REPAIRED BUT NOT SIGNED OFF BY THE MECH WHO PERFORMED THE WORK.
Narrative: I WROTE UP A FLAPPER VALVE THAT HAD FALLEN INSIDE THE LAVATORY. I ASSUMED THE PROB WAS TAKEN CARE OF WHEN I SAW THE MAINT MAN TAKING CARE OF THE PROB. HE NEVER SIGNED THE WORK AS BEING DONE AND I FLEW TO SARASOTA FROM ORLANDO WITH AN OPEN WRITE-UP.
