Narrative:

Aircraft took off and gear would not retract. Pilots did not attempt to use gear override. Aircraft returned to the field and was towed off the runway. Placed aircraft on jacks and swung gear numerous times. Rigging of the ground sensing control mechanism was checked in accordance with maintenance manual. No adjustments were necessary. However, when completing company form xyz which was later used as the basis for the aircraft logbook entry, I used the term 'rigged' which was not appropriate for the action taken. I should have written, 'checked rigging' as no adjustments were made. The aircraft nose strut was svced in accordance with maintenance manual procedures. No logbook entry was made indicating that the strut was svced. The company form xyz was completed. The aircraft was returned to service.
