Narrative:

I was speaking to ny approach trying to arrange VFR flight following. I was wbound at approximately 1700 ft MSL flying VFR in haze, visibility below 4 mi direct to mmu. I thought that I was outside class D of bdr but ny approach told me that I had busted airspace of the class D and gave me vectors to outside of class D. If I indeed busted class D it was inadvertent. The haze at the time probably contributed to my underestimating the distance from bdr. I was still VFR and there were no near misses and no evasive action was taken by anyone.

Narrative: I WAS SPEAKING TO NY APCH TRYING TO ARRANGE VFR FLT FOLLOWING. I WAS WBOUND AT APPROX 1700 FT MSL FLYING VFR IN HAZE, VISIBILITY BELOW 4 MI DIRECT TO MMU. I THOUGHT THAT I WAS OUTSIDE CLASS D OF BDR BUT NY APCH TOLD ME THAT I HAD BUSTED AIRSPACE OF THE CLASS D AND GAVE ME VECTORS TO OUTSIDE OF CLASS D. IF I INDEED BUSTED CLASS D IT WAS INADVERTENT.
