Narrative:
Was holding short of runway 29L on taxiway C, waiting for clearance to cross. I heard what sounded like a clearance to taxi and acknowledged to that effect. My acknowledgement was apparently blocked and we heard no further reply, thereby assuming we were cleared. Conflict, I was told, was another aircraft was in the flare for landing on that runway. This report should have been filed on my part some time ago, but have not been home. Thus, I realize this may be invalid, but will submit anyway.

Title: DA10 ACFT HOLDING SHORT OF RWY, RPTR FO THOUGHT HE HEARD CLRNC TO CROSS AND READ BACK XING RWY. APPARENT COM BLOCKED BECAUSE TWR DIDN'T HEAR THE READBACK AND AN ACFT WAS ON SHORT FINAL.
Narrative: WAS HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 29L ON TXWY C, WAITING FOR CLRNC TO CROSS. I HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE A CLRNC TO TAXI AND ACKNOWLEDGED TO THAT EFFECT. MY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT WAS APPARENTLY BLOCKED AND WE HEARD NO FURTHER REPLY, THEREBY ASSUMING WE WERE CLRED. CONFLICT, I WAS TOLD, WAS ANOTHER ACFT WAS IN THE FLARE FOR LNDG ON THAT RWY. THIS RPT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FILED ON MY PART SOME TIME AGO, BUT HAVE NOT BEEN HOME. THUS, I REALIZE THIS MAY BE INVALID, BUT WILL SUBMIT ANYWAY.
