Narrative:

After being cleared to taxi by the ground agent, the right propeller struck the gpu that had not been removed. Captain signaled to remove unit. When agent reappeared, the signal was given to pull chocks. When agent reappeared, he signaled clear to taxi. The aircraft moved approximately 4 ft when the propeller clipped the gpu, destroying the propeller. The agent was confused and pulled the chocks first. Supplemental information from acn 371047: apparently the ground crew had removed the chocks prior to moving the power cart. The captain, thinking all equipment was clear, released the brakes and the aircraft rolled forward a few ft with the right propeller hitting the power cart. Standard, concise hand signals and verbal instructions between the captain and ground crew would have prevented this.

Title: FLC OF F27 HAS MISCOM WITH GND CREW AND AS ACFT MOVES THE PROP STRIKES A GPU.

Narrative: AFTER BEING CLRED TO TAXI BY THE GND AGENT, THE R PROP STRUCK THE GPU THAT HAD NOT BEEN REMOVED. CAPT SIGNALED TO REMOVE UNIT. WHEN AGENT REAPPEARED, THE SIGNAL WAS GIVEN TO PULL CHOCKS. WHEN AGENT REAPPEARED, HE SIGNALED CLR TO TAXI. THE ACFT MOVED APPROX 4 FT WHEN THE PROP CLIPPED THE GPU, DESTROYING THE PROP. THE AGENT WAS CONFUSED AND PULLED THE CHOCKS FIRST. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 371047: APPARENTLY THE GND CREW HAD REMOVED THE CHOCKS PRIOR TO MOVING THE PWR CART. THE CAPT, THINKING ALL EQUIP WAS CLR, RELEASED THE BRAKES AND THE ACFT ROLLED FORWARD A FEW FT WITH THE R PROP HITTING THE PWR CART. STANDARD, CONCISE HAND SIGNALS AND VERBAL INSTRUCTIONS BTWN THE CAPT AND GND CREW WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS.
