Narrative:
There were multiple aircraft in conflict prior to this situation. Other aircraft were climbing and descending to miss both involved by the time I thought I could turn each aircraft they were together. If I would have descended 1 aircraft to FL280 they would have been clean or if the 5 mi vector line would have been available I might have turned them sooner.

Title: LTSS BTWN AN ACR DC9 AND AN ACR B737 AT THE SAME ALT. OPERROR. NO ACTION TAKEN BY THE RPTR TO TURN OR DSND EITHER ACFT TO ENSURE SEPARATION.
Narrative: THERE WERE MULTIPLE ACFT IN CONFLICT PRIOR TO THIS SIT. OTHER ACFT WERE CLBING AND DSNDING TO MISS BOTH INVOLVED BY THE TIME I THOUGHT I COULD TURN EACH ACFT THEY WERE TOGETHER. IF I WOULD HAVE DSNDED 1 ACFT TO FL280 THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN CLEAN OR IF THE 5 MI VECTOR LINE WOULD HAVE BEEN AVAILABLE I MIGHT HAVE TURNED THEM SOONER.
