Narrative:

Cruising at FL350 the handoff to ZLA was never received. Because of WX considerations it was a while before we caught the missed handoff. After several unsuccessful tries on various frequencys, contact was established and an uneventful descent and landing occurred. No conflict was mentioned by ATC. There is no real defined problem area here, it's just that when there is WX, extra attention must be given to all aspects of flight by pilots and controllers.
