Narrative:

On 6 mi final runway 10 stt in good VMC. Received climb RA on TCASII. While in the transition to comply with the climb RA, we received a clear of conflict message. The TCASII showed the traffic at -500 and went instantly from TA to RA. The only traffic observed was on a parallel course to final approximately 1 mi south of final and -1000 ft. We had just discussed that the traffic area appeared clear. We never had visual contact with any intruder traffic and ATC reported that there was no known traffic and was unable to visually contact any traffic. As we continued towards the airport we heard an air carrier shorts report a TCASII event.
