Narrative:

Lax tower instructed commuter to join up on our aircraft for landing on runway 25R. We were landing on runway 25L. He was so close behind us that on the TCASII screen he was touching the symbol. We finally got a TCASII TA followed by an RA that gave us instructions to descend at a rate of 1500 FPM. We knew he was there and with us being at such a low altitude anyway, we continued the approach and landing. I told the tower it was unsatisfactory to have him follow us that closely. Tower controller didn't seem the least bit concerned. He had already set up another air carrier flight ahead of us for a go around by having the planes too close together.

Narrative: LAX TWR INSTRUCTED COMMUTER TO JOIN UP ON OUR ACFT FOR LNDG ON RWY 25R. WE WERE LNDG ON RWY 25L. HE WAS SO CLOSE BEHIND US THAT ON THE TCASII SCREEN HE WAS TOUCHING THE SYMBOL. I TOLD THE TWR IT WAS UNSATISFACTORY TO HAVE HIM FOLLOW US THAT CLOSELY. TWR CTLR DIDN'T SEEM THE LEAST BIT CONCERNED. HE HAD ALREADY SET UP ANOTHER ACR FLT AHEAD OF US FOR A GAR BY HAVING THE PLANES TOO CLOSE TOGETHER.
