Narrative:

During preflight preparation, an entry error was made in the FMS initialization procedure. In the process of conducting normal preflight procedures, all 3 pilots overlooked the error. The problem was not discovered until after we were airborne. We switched quickly to raw data to fly the SID. We then asked for radar vectors to XXX. A landing was made in XXX to correct the problem. After an overweight landing inspection by maintenance, the flight was re-dispatched XXX-YYY and continued normally. All involved discussed the procedures and where each individual should have discovered and corrected the problem.
