Narrative:
On walkaround, first officer found left strut collapsed (no inner strut showing). Maintenance called. Aircraft strut was svced and passed leak check. However, 2 FAA inspectors conducting a ramp check found a dent in the fuselage that exceeded limits. Aircraft was taken OTS and another substituted.

Narrative: ON WALKAROUND, FO FOUND L STRUT COLLAPSED (NO INNER STRUT SHOWING). MAINT CALLED. ACFT STRUT WAS SVCED AND PASSED LEAK CHK. HOWEVER, 2 FAA INSPECTORS CONDUCTING A RAMP CHK FOUND A DENT IN THE FUSELAGE THAT EXCEEDED LIMITS. ACFT WAS TAKEN OTS AND ANOTHER SUBSTITUTED.
