Narrative:
Our pre departure clearance had a speed restr of 250 KTS. After departure, both the first officer and I thought our speed restr had been canceled. We accelerated to normal climb speed. Then the next controller we talked to canceled the speed restr again. No other comments were made. The rest of the flight was uneventful.

Narrative: OUR PDC HAD A SPD RESTR OF 250 KTS. AFTER DEP, BOTH THE FO AND I THOUGHT OUR SPD RESTR HAD BEEN CANCELED. WE ACCELERATED TO NORMAL CLB SPD. THEN THE NEXT CTLR WE TALKED TO CANCELED THE SPD RESTR AGAIN. NO OTHER COMMENTS WERE MADE. THE REST OF THE FLT WAS UNEVENTFUL.
