Narrative:
Flying from cos-msp, we were on the rwf-RWF2 STAR. Both pilots missed the instructions of 120 degree heading at jerik. Approaching msp airport I queried approach about what heading he wanted to fly. He said 160 degrees and mentioned the heading on the STAR. Nearly all stars now have a graphic illustration of a required heading. This heading was in the text that is easier to miss. I believe all stars/sids should be standard and have the heading graphically depicted.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: DC9-30 CREW DID NOT READ THE STAR CHART PROPERLY AND MISSED THE FACT THEY SHOULD HAVE FLOWN A 120 DEG HDG AT JERIK INTXN. WHEN QUERIED, ATC ISSUED A CORRECTIVE VECTOR. RPTR THINKS THE STAR SHOULD BE REFORMATTED.
