Narrative:

We had been given the profile descent runway 24 for toronto/pearson international (cyyz). We had just passed ywt VOR at 13000 ft and captain (PF) called for descent checklist. I initiated descent checklist and then noticed that we were 1 mi from ricki (intersection on the descent profile). Profile calls for 11000 ft and 250 KTS at ricki. I pointed this out to PF and we began immediate 4500 FPM descent and reached 11000 ft (and 250 KTS) 2 mi past ricki. Just as we had begun this descent toronto center told us to begin our descent immediately and that we were supposed to be at 11000 ft at ricki. We acknowledged this as we were already descending. He then switched us to next controller. We checked in level at 11000 ft at 250 KTS with this new controller (2 mi past ricki here). Nothing more was said about it to us. As far as we could determine, there was no other aircraft involved, and no loss of separation occurred.

JUST AS WE HAD BEGUN THIS DSCNT TORONTO CTR TOLD US TO BEGIN OUR DSCNT IMMEDIATELY AND THAT WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE AT 11000 FT AT RICKI. WE ACKNOWLEDGED THIS AS WE WERE ALREADY DSNDING. HE THEN SWITCHED US TO NEXT CTLR. WE CHKED IN LEVEL AT 11000 FT AT 250 KTS WITH THIS NEW CTLR (2 MI PAST RICKI HERE). NOTHING MORE WAS SAID ABOUT IT TO US. AS FAR AS WE COULD DETERMINE, THERE WAS NO OTHER ACFT INVOLVED, AND NO LOSS OF SEPARATION OCCURRED.
