Narrative:

I was descending over class C airspace in light to moderate turbulence. I attempted to level off well above the class C 4400 ft ceiling, but full power in a climbing attitude was still producing a descent. My altimeter needle was bouncing around 4400 ft prior to being able to climb out of the descending air. I am concerned that I may have entered the class C airspace without communications during this event. I have had little experience in turbulent conditions such as those I encountered this day. To prevent a recurrence, I will allow for such altdevs in these conditions and communicate with ATC if near their airspace.
