Narrative:

On corp part 91 flight from syr to slk, the altimeters were misset at syr. We flew the day before during a real low pressure system and on the following day the pressure was high. I only set hundredths of inches and missed the whole inches. I set 29.48 inches instead of 30.48 inches. ZBW questioned our altitude as we climbed out of our assigned altitude of 17000 ft. ZBW gave us an altimeter setting and we corrected the mistake. This was due to my carelessness.
