Narrative:

I was the PNF and read back approach clearance, including 'maintain 2500 ft until established.' the captain understood 'maintain 1600 ft until established' and commenced a descent. Azo approach called us as we descended through 1800 ft and we climbed back to 2500 ft. We were in VMC conditions so we climbed and completed a non eventful approach and landing.

Title: LTT COMMUTER WAS TOLD TO MAINTAIN 2500 FT UNTIL ESTABLISHED ON THE APCH BUT THE CAPT THOUGHT HE HEARD 1600 FT. APCH CTLR CAUGHT MISTAKE WHEN THEY HAD DSNDED TO 1800 FT.

Narrative: I WAS THE PNF AND READ BACK APCH CLRNC, INCLUDING 'MAINTAIN 2500 FT UNTIL ESTABLISHED.' THE CAPT UNDERSTOOD 'MAINTAIN 1600 FT UNTIL ESTABLISHED' AND COMMENCED A DSCNT. AZO APCH CALLED US AS WE DSNDED THROUGH 1800 FT AND WE CLBED BACK TO 2500 FT. WE WERE IN VMC CONDITIONS SO WE CLBED AND COMPLETED A NON EVENTFUL APCH AND LNDG.
