Narrative:

Atx Y was going direct to cvg level at 14000 ft. Air carrier X was coming out of day approach at 10000 ft head-on with atx Y. I put an interim altitude of 13000 ft, but I cleared the aircraft air carrier X to FL220. I thought I had issued 13000 ft until the tape was played back to me.

Title: A RADAR DEVELOPMENTAL CTLR WORKING A POS HE HAD BEEN CHKED OUT FOR ONLY 4 DAYS CLBED AN ACR THROUGH THE ALT OF AN ATX WITH LTSS. RPTR HAD PUT AN INTERIM ALT IN THE ACR DATA BLOCK, BUT CLRED HIM TO A HIGHER ALT BY MISTAKE. APPARENTLY THE CTLR WAS NOT AWARE OF HIS ERROR UNTIL THE CONFLICT ALERT WENT OFF AND IT WAS LATER VERIFIED THAT HE ERRED WHEN THE TAPES WERE PLAYED BACK.
