Narrative:

Flying into lax on sadde 6 cleared to fly 070 degrees after smo. Several vectors after smo cleared to 2500 ft turned base. We missed a turn given by ATC then were told to turn to another heading and we would be vectored eastbound to a downwind. Were not told of runway change. We were later cleared to turn to intercept runway 25L localizer at 2500 ft. We had to change frequency, etc, were told we were 1 mi north of runway 25L localizer. Told to call ATC approach control. Supplemental information from acn 357730: I apparently missed a subsequent heading to turn base. There was a speed restr and altitude change that we read back, but ATC said we missed heading.
