Narrative:

While on the dupont 3 arrival gve transition into phl we were cleared to the ott 226 degree radial 15 DME to hold southwest left turns 10 mi legs. That happens to be on the flatrock transition. We told the controller that we were on the gve transition and asked if we could pick up the 226 degree radial on our present heading. He replied affirmative and cleared us out of FL290 for FL260. As we were entering the hold we got an RA to climb. We complied with the RA and almost immediately after that we were cleared to FL290 and right heading 090 degrees. Clear of conflict.
