An large transport cargo aircraft landing oak was cleared for the visual approach and instructed to contact tower. The flight crew was busy with the landing checklist and forgot to switch to tower frequency. Attempts to contact the tower on short final were not successful and the aircraft landed without clearance.

Narrative:
We were cleared for a visual approach from bay approach control and handed over to tower. When completing the before landing checklist we were unsure if we had checked in with tower and cleared to land. Close in we attempted to contact tower 3 times to verify with no reply. I switched to ground right away and they cleared us to parking with no questions or problems.

Title: AN LGT CARGO ACFT LNDG OAK WAS CLRED FOR THE VISUAL APCH AND INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT TWR. THE FLC WAS BUSY WITH THE LNDG CHKLIST AND FORGOT TO SWITCH TO TWR FREQ. ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT THE TWR ON SHORT FINAL WERE NOT SUCCESSFUL AND THE ACFT LANDED WITHOUT CLRNC.
