Narrative:

We departed lax runway 25R on the ventura 2. At our assigned 2000 ft leveloff, I accelerated to 250 KTS. At our handoff to departure, we were given clearance to climb and resume normal speed. As we proceeded to sfo, I began to worry that I had violated the restr of 200 KTS in the airspace below class B airspace. I had assumed that we were still in the class B zone, so I decided to look it up. I could find no information on our charts as to the base of the class B area at lax. The only information on our charts concerns the ceiling. So I still don't know if I violated this airspeed restr. But I do know I won't accelerate to 250 KTS again below 3000 ft unless I'm sure I'm still in the appropriate airspace.

Title: AN ACR B737 CAPT IS WONDERING IF HE MIGHT HAVE VIOLATED THE SPD RESTR BELOW THE LAX CLASS B AIRSPACE. HE PROBABLY DID NOT AS THE TRACON DEP CTLR WAS SUPPOSED TO KEEP HIM IN THE CLASS B AIRSPACE.

Narrative: WE DEPARTED LAX RWY 25R ON THE VENTURA 2. AT OUR ASSIGNED 2000 FT LEVELOFF, I ACCELERATED TO 250 KTS. AT OUR HDOF TO DEP, WE WERE GIVEN CLRNC TO CLB AND RESUME NORMAL SPD. I COULD FIND NO INFO ON OUR CHARTS AS TO THE BASE OF THE CLASS B AREA AT LAX. THE ONLY INFO ON OUR CHARTS CONCERNS THE CEILING. SO I STILL DON'T KNOW IF I VIOLATED THIS AIRSPD RESTR. BUT I DO KNOW I WON'T ACCELERATE TO 250 KTS AGAIN BELOW 3000 FT UNLESS I'M SURE I'M STILL IN THE APPROPRIATE AIRSPACE.
