Narrative:
Numerous birds took off from runway as we approached the midpoint of the runway. Several loud thumps were heard as we passed through the birds. There were approximately 8-10 birds (sea gulls) in the vicinity. Estimated that 4-5 were hit. Suspected at least 1 was ingested in right engine. Aborted takeoff with no further incidents. Bird activity was known in area. Suggest airport do a bird check of runways with vehicle periodically.
