Narrative:
Coming from sacramento, handed off to sck for traffic advisories. Was over bushy peak landing lvk. There were no real advisories and I should have been handed off to lvk tower when the controller came on with evasive action instruction because of traffic, less than a mi. I immediately went into a right turn and climbed to 5500 ft. There was no comment from the controller as to whether I cleared the traffic or not. I had to repeatedly ask if the traffic was clear. There was inadequate warning that 2 aircraft were in the same vicinity.
