Narrative:

Rhv tower advised me to squawk ecaa on my transponder. I was advised to make a straight-in approach for runway 31R. I awaited for them to advise 'radar contact,' however, they never did. They had no contact with me until I made an uneventful landing on runway 31R. I was unsure if I had been in radar contact or whether I received the appropriate clearance to land. With no other traffic in position to takeoff or land, I made the approach and landing to runway 31R. Tower, upon my landing, then advised me to taxi to my destination at the airport. The landing was uneventful but my concern was whether or not the tower controller expected me to land without a specific clearance to land.

Title: PVT SMA PLT LANDS AT RHV WITHOUT CLRNC LNDG. UNCERTAIN IF CLRNC WAS OBTAINED, PLT PROCEEDS FOR LNDG.

Narrative: RHV TWR ADVISED ME TO SQUAWK ECAA ON MY XPONDER. I WAS ADVISED TO MAKE A STRAIGHT-IN APCH FOR RWY 31R. I AWAITED FOR THEM TO ADVISE 'RADAR CONTACT,' HOWEVER, THEY NEVER DID. THEY HAD NO CONTACT WITH ME UNTIL I MADE AN UNEVENTFUL LNDG ON RWY 31R. I WAS UNSURE IF I HAD BEEN IN RADAR CONTACT OR WHETHER I RECEIVED THE APPROPRIATE CLRNC TO LAND. WITH NO OTHER TFC IN POS TO TKOF OR LAND, I MADE THE APCH AND LNDG TO RWY 31R. TWR, UPON MY LNDG, THEN ADVISED ME TO TAXI TO MY DEST AT THE ARPT. THE LNDG WAS UNEVENTFUL BUT MY CONCERN WAS WHETHER OR NOT THE TWR CTLR EXPECTED ME TO LAND WITHOUT A SPECIFIC CLRNC TO LAND.
