Narrative:

The pilot/aircraft were located at company ramp. After obtaining his IFR clearance, he reported on ground. Ground control asked if pilot would accept an intersection departure on runway 19 at taxiway H. The pilot agreed and was cleared to 'taxi to runway 19, hold short of taxiway H.' while taxiing, the pilot became engrossed into copying the ATIS and setting up the aircraft's navs for departure. The pilot proceeded to taxi across runway 19 on taxiway H, and an aircraft on a 1/2 - 3/4 mi final was forced to go around. An irate ground controller advised pilot to 'clear active runway immediately, left on taxiway B and proceed to the end of runway 19.' causes: in an attempt to make a quick departure, the pilot became absorbed in tasks other than the main one at hand and that was to taxi to a point at an unfamiliar field. By becoming absorbed with the other tasks the pilot made an unnecessary mistake. Acute fatigue and the lack of eating anything all day also contributed to the mishap.

Title: C404 COPIED IFR CLRNC ANC CLRED TO TAXI RWY 19 HOLD SHORT OF TXWY H. PLT BEGAN SETTING UP DEP PROC AND CROSSED RWY 19 IN ERROR. ACFT ON APCH HAD TO GAR. CTLR UPSET AND CLRED ACFT TO END OF RWY 19 VIA TXWY B.

Narrative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
