Narrative:

After cleared visual to runway 1R, I set in 4100 ft off the VOR approach plate. The TCA at that range was 5000 ft. I accelerated and began a descent to 4100 ft. We got a GPWS terrain call at which time I climbed up and picked up a normal descent profile for landing. Cause: loss of situational awareness because of new/unfamiliar runway. Have TCA chart out.
