Narrative:

The ace display system had east satellite WX on page 2 and page 3. Page 3 is supposed to have west satellite WX. System had to be placed on backup, an interface had failed according to the previous person in charge of the ace. This equipment failed its operational load test prior to implementation but was installed anyway. Since then it has had various frequent failures. When the WX changes it doesn't indicate what has changed, as the equipment it replaced did.

Title: APCH CTLR COMPLAINT ABOUT WX PRESENTATION ON THE NEW ACE DISPLAY AT THE DFW TRACON.

Narrative: THE ACE DISPLAY SYS HAD E SATELLITE WX ON PAGE 2 AND PAGE 3. PAGE 3 IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE W SATELLITE WX. SYS HAD TO BE PLACED ON BACKUP, AN INTERFACE HAD FAILED ACCORDING TO THE PREVIOUS PERSON IN CHARGE OF THE ACE. THIS EQUIP FAILED ITS OPERATIONAL LOAD TEST PRIOR TO IMPLEMENTATION BUT WAS INSTALLED ANYWAY. SINCE THEN IT HAS HAD VARIOUS FREQUENT FAILURES. WHEN THE WX CHANGES IT DOESN'T INDICATE WHAT HAS CHANGED, AS THE EQUIP IT REPLACED DID.
