Narrative:

Approaching las from northeast on V394. Contacted approach, told to remain clear of class B. Controller was having considerable problems identing me and other aircraft, also multiple uses of wrong call sign for me and various aircraft. After second call-up for clearance, controller vectored me south, but without clearance. Due to circular shape of class B airspace, I got a 9.8 NM GPS reading from las before I could get clear of class B. I should have recognized pad controller and kept greater clearance from class B.
