Narrative:
Somehow we failed to hear ZKC call us. We thought we checked in on 125.72, but I guess they didn't get it. They said they tried to call us several times but we never heard it. Both of us were monitoring the radios. We finally initiated a call to ARTCC and shortly after received a message from dispatch also telling us they were trying to call us.

Narrative: SOMEHOW WE FAILED TO HEAR ZKC CALL US. WE THOUGHT WE CHKED IN ON 125.72, BUT I GUESS THEY DIDN'T GET IT. THEY SAID THEY TRIED TO CALL US SEVERAL TIMES BUT WE NEVER HEARD IT. BOTH OF US WERE MONITORING THE RADIOS. WE FINALLY INITIATED A CALL TO ARTCC AND SHORTLY AFTER RECEIVED A MESSAGE FROM DISPATCH ALSO TELLING US THEY WERE TRYING TO CALL US.
