Narrative:
Lax tower departed 5 turboprop commuters within 2 mins on the same heading, climbing to the same altitude. Aircraft #3 was maintaining visual separation from aircraft #2, but not #1. Aircraft #5 was told to maintain visual separation from #4 but not #3. #5 did not see #3, and was on the same assigned heading, less than 3 mi.

Title: DEP CTLR CLAIMS THAT 5 COMMUTER ACFT WERE RELEASED IN TRAIL WITH SEVERAL ACFT CLOSER THAN REQUIRED SEPARATION.
Narrative: LAX TWR DEPARTED 5 TURBOPROP COMMUTERS WITHIN 2 MINS ON THE SAME HEADING, CLBING TO THE SAME ALT. ACFT #3 WAS MAINTAINING VISUAL SEPARATION FROM ACFT #2, BUT NOT #1. ACFT #5 WAS TOLD TO MAINTAIN VISUAL SEPARATION FROM #4 BUT NOT #3. #5 DID NOT SEE #3, AND WAS ON THE SAME ASSIGNED HEADING, LESS THAN 3 MI.
