Narrative:

My student and myself performed a (simulated) engine out to an uncontrolled airfield (as depicted on the charts) low approach only. However, the chief of operations at the helicopter training facility seems to think that because there is a control tower, that this controled airspace, the terminal area and sectional show no special use, controled or anything. He also said we violated class B dfw airspace, even though we were talking to approach and were squawking a code with a clearance. If the helicopter training area is controled, someone needs to change the charts to show that airspace.

Title: INSTRUCTOR AND TRAINEE FLC ARE ACCUSED BY GND OBSERVER OF VIOLATING DFW'S CLASS B AIRSPACE AND LNDG AT A CTLED ARPT WITHOUT CLRNC.

Narrative: MY STUDENT AND MYSELF PERFORMED A (SIMULATED) ENG OUT TO AN UNCTLED AIRFIELD (AS DEPICTED ON THE CHARTS) LOW APCH ONLY. HOWEVER, THE CHIEF OF OPS AT THE HELI TRAINING FACILITY SEEMS TO THINK THAT BECAUSE THERE IS A CTL TWR, THAT THIS CTLED AIRSPACE, THE TERMINAL AREA AND SECTIONAL SHOW NO SPECIAL USE, CTLED OR ANYTHING. HE ALSO SAID WE VIOLATED CLASS B DFW AIRSPACE, EVEN THOUGH WE WERE TALKING TO APCH AND WERE SQUAWKING A CODE WITH A CLRNC. IF THE HELI TRAINING AREA IS CTLED, SOMEONE NEEDS TO CHANGE THE CHARTS TO SHOW THAT AIRSPACE.
