Narrative:

We were level at 11000 ft on a heading of 160 degrees to intercept the orl 309 degree radial to orl on the leese 8 arrival. Approach control advised us of a jump aircraft at 12 O'clock 1 mi at 13500 ft. We acknowledged then nearly immediately saw 3 skydivers at 11:30 O'clock, and then about 3 more at 12:30, 1:00, and 1:30 O'clock. They were falling through our altitude at a distance of approximately 1/2 to 1 mi. Distance was hard to guess. We made no evasive turns. The flight crew felt concerned as this appeared too close for comfort. I called approach control after landing. They were also concerned and had pulled the tapes. They had asked the pilot from the jump aircraft to call after landing. He stated he had us in sight and felt it was safe to proceed with jump. He reported some of the skydivers said they had never been that close to an aircraft. Approach control told me they had no control over him or his operation as they were outside of 'B' airspace. They were continuing to investigate the event.

Title: FLC OF AN LGT OBSERVED SKYDIVERS FALL THROUGH THEIR FLT PATH APPROX ONE HALF TO 1 MI AWAY WHILE ON A VECTOR HDG FOR ARR AFTER ATC HAD PROVIDED THE SKYDIVER ACFT TFC AS 1 MI AND 2500 FT ABOVE THEIR ALT.

Narrative: WE WERE LEVEL AT 11000 FT ON A HDG OF 160 DEGS TO INTERCEPT THE ORL 309 DEG RADIAL TO ORL ON THE LEESE 8 ARR. APCH CTL ADVISED US OF A JUMP ACFT AT 12 O'CLOCK 1 MI AT 13500 FT. WE ACKNOWLEDGED THEN NEARLY IMMEDIATELY SAW 3 SKYDIVERS AT 11:30 O'CLOCK, AND THEN ABOUT 3 MORE AT 12:30, 1:00, AND 1:30 O'CLOCK. THEY WERE FALLING THROUGH OUR ALT AT A DISTANCE OF APPROX 1/2 TO 1 MI. DISTANCE WAS HARD TO GUESS. WE MADE NO EVASIVE TURNS. THE FLC FELT CONCERNED AS THIS APPEARED TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT. I CALLED APCH CTL AFTER LNDG. THEY WERE ALSO CONCERNED AND HAD PULLED THE TAPES. THEY HAD ASKED THE PLT FROM THE JUMP ACFT TO CALL AFTER LNDG. HE STATED HE HAD US IN SIGHT AND FELT IT WAS SAFE TO PROCEED WITH JUMP. HE RPTED SOME OF THE SKYDIVERS SAID THEY HAD NEVER BEEN THAT CLOSE TO AN ACFT. APCH CTL TOLD ME THEY HAD NO CTL OVER HIM OR HIS OP AS THEY WERE OUTSIDE OF 'B' AIRSPACE. THEY WERE CONTINUING TO INVESTIGATE THE EVENT.
