Narrative:

At dpa in west chicago, il, the runway markings on runway 33 are so worn out that you cannot see the displaced threshold lines or even the numbers. These should be repainted at once, very unsafe the way they are presently. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states that the FBO has spoken to the airport management and the response is 'yes, something needs to be done.' however, nothing has been done. Reporter and a number of other pilots who work at the airport are concerned because of the winter WX coming soon and then nothing can be done. The local pilots feel this is a dangerous situation with the displaced threshold markings being virtually invisible and the runway 33 markings so worn. He is pleased that we have taken an interest.
