Narrative:

During return to mkc from stj I commenced a track intended to take me east of mci controled airspace using a GPS 90. Approximately 8 mins after takeoff from stj battery power to GPS suddenly failed without warning. As a result of this failure I may have unknowingly penetrated the mci controled airspace. Shortly after loss of GPS battery power I contacted mkc tower and was requested to contact mci TRACON for vectors.
