Controller at stl TRACON advised that ghost targets were appearing on the ASR-9 radar showing odd codes. Investigation revealed that an aircraft factory on the airport was the cause of the anomaly.

Narrative:
False targets on ASR-9 to the northwest of stl at 2.4 and 6 mi, all not moving, all squawking 0000. Found out it was aircraft company equipment on the ramp interfering with ASR-9 equipment. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: analyst contacted stl TRACON and was advised by a supervisor that the interference problem has been corrected.
