Aircraft air carrier X northbound on route A300 (non radar) from svmi to jfk, appeared on radar 40 mi west of filed course. Pilot thought he was about 50 mi south of champ. Pilot was using omega navigation. No loss of separation. Another airline pilot came on the frequency and said the military had moved an omega station from annapolis to honolulu, and that had been messing up the omega system.

Title: ZNY RADAR CTLR RPTS THAT THERE IS AN INCREASING NUMBER OF NAV ERROR INCIDENTS WITH ACFT UTILIZING THE VLF OMEGA NAV SYS. ERRORS ARE CAUSING FLTS TO TURN OFF COURSE WITHOUT FLC RECOGNIZING THE SIT.

NO LOSS OF SEPARATION. ANOTHER AIRLINE PLT CAME ON THE FREQ AND SAID THE MIL HAD MOVED AN OMEGA STATION FROM ANNAPOLIS TO HONOLULU, AND THAT HAD BEEN MESSING UP THE OMEGA SYS.
