Narrative:

After landing at lhr (egu), london-heathrow, and before lowering the nose gear, the tail skid lights illuminated on the EICAS forward panel and the landing gear panel. Landing was normal on speed for 30 degree flaps, 280000 pounds, reference 13645=141. ATIS information was calm winds, cavok, 17 degrees C and runway 27R. Final descent checklist completed by 1200 ft AGL. We were cleared to land at 240 ft AGL behind a high wing 4 engine turboprop who was told to expedite. The speed brake deployed normally but just before lowering the nose gear the aircraft floated momentarily and the tail skid lights illuminated, then nose gear contact and reverse thrust plus automatic brakes on level #1. Possible cause: a bubble of air or disturbance from the high wing turboprop either reversing or adding power to expedite off of runway 27R. Other than that the landing was normal, not rushed in any way, on speed, on glide path and centerline, hand flown from at least 2500 ft AGL.

Title: HIT TAIL SKID ON LNDG ROLLOUT. RPTR CAPT AND FO SAY THAT THE ACFT WAS STABILIZED ON SPD AND PROFILE AND WINDS CALM. A 4 ENG TURBOPROP LANDED JUST AHEAD AND RPTRS SURMISE A BUBBLE OF AIR CAUGHT THEIR ACFT AND CAUSED A SLIGHT FLOAT WHICH RESULTED IN HITTING THE TAIL SKID.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG AT LHR (EGU), LONDON-HEATHROW, AND BEFORE LOWERING THE NOSE GEAR, THE TAIL SKID LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE EICAS FORWARD PANEL AND THE LNDG GEAR PANEL. LNDG WAS NORMAL ON SPD FOR 30 DEG FLAPS, 280000 LBS, REF 13645=141. ATIS INFO WAS CALM WINDS, CAVOK, 17 DEGS C AND RWY 27R. FINAL DSCNT CHKLIST COMPLETED BY 1200 FT AGL. WE WERE CLRED TO LAND AT 240 FT AGL BEHIND A HIGH WING 4 ENG TURBOPROP WHO WAS TOLD TO EXPEDITE. THE SPD BRAKE DEPLOYED NORMALLY BUT JUST BEFORE LOWERING THE NOSE GEAR THE ACFT FLOATED MOMENTARILY AND THE TAIL SKID LIGHTS ILLUMINATED, THEN NOSE GEAR CONTACT AND REVERSE THRUST PLUS AUTO BRAKES ON LEVEL #1. POSSIBLE CAUSE: A BUBBLE OF AIR OR DISTURBANCE FROM THE HIGH WING TURBOPROP EITHER REVERSING OR ADDING PWR TO EXPEDITE OFF OF RWY 27R. OTHER THAN THAT THE LNDG WAS NORMAL, NOT RUSHED IN ANY WAY, ON SPD, ON GLIDE PATH AND CTRLINE, HAND FLOWN FROM AT LEAST 2500 FT AGL.
