Location: bpr/310/50. Cleared to cross 50 NM northwest bpr at FL240. Blue ridge vice bridgeport was incorrectly used as a NAVAID for DME. We reached 50 NM northwest bpr at FL330 vice FL240. At that point we were cleared to 17000 ft for uneventful approach and landing.

Narrative: LOCATION: BPR/310/50. CLRED TO CROSS 50 NM NW BPR AT FL240. BLUE RIDGE VICE BRIDGEPORT WAS INCORRECTLY USED AS A NAVAID FOR DME. WE REACHED 50 NM NW BPR AT FL330 VICE FL240. AT THAT POINT WE WERE CLRED TO 17000 FT FOR UNEVENTFUL APCH AND LNDG.
