Narrative:

I was cleared to land on runway 36L in memphis. I was told to expedite descent to 2000 ft for traffic and I called the runway in sight and was cleared to land on runway 36L. I continued the approach and on short final the tower asked me what runway I was on and I realized I was on the center. The aircraft behind me did a go around and I landed. The tower told me to call them. This was strictly a mistake. It could have been avoided by use of the localizer or verified it with tower.

Title: PLT OF C208 LANDS ON CTR RWY WHEN CLRED TO THE L RWY.

Narrative: I WAS CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 36L IN MEMPHIS. I WAS TOLD TO EXPEDITE DSCNT TO 2000 FT FOR TFC AND I CALLED THE RWY IN SIGHT AND WAS CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 36L. I CONTINUED THE APCH AND ON SHORT FINAL THE TWR ASKED ME WHAT RWY I WAS ON AND I REALIZED I WAS ON THE CTR. THE ACFT BEHIND ME DID A GAR AND I LANDED. THE TWR TOLD ME TO CALL THEM. THIS WAS STRICTLY A MISTAKE. IT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED BY USE OF THE LOC OR VERIFIED IT WITH TWR.
