Narrative:

Training my student on short field lndgs. He's a good pilot. 2ND or 3RD lesson on short fields slightly bumpy day 8-12 KT wind from 200 degrees. He was intending a touchdown on the 'numbers' and started getting low. I called for 'more power' from 100 yds short of the runway and no response. We were already at 50 KTS in a cessna 152 rather than 54 KTS and rapidly decreasing so I shoved in on his hand to get full power and his fingers were in the way. I maybe got 1500 RPM and flared as hard as I could. Our right tire struck a threshold light and I asked for a full stop to report to tower.
