Narrative:

As I departed ryan field on runway 6, I heard an aircraft, experimental small aircraft Y, call the tower advising that he was 10 mi southeast of ryan inbound. I had requested and received a r- hand departure sbound. Small aircraft Y was instructed to enter right traffic for runway 6R, with a 45 degree entry. After departing on a 45 degree turn, I climbed to 3200 ft (pattern altitude) then turned to a heading of 180 degrees still climbing. At about 4000 ft, I finally saw small aircraft Y about 500 ft or more from me and about 100 ft higher. At that point, he was making a sharp turn to the right to avoid my flight path and I did likewise to make sure he saw me. Shortly thereafter, I overheard the pilot of the small aircraft Y advise the tower that he had missed me by 200 ft. I do not believe we were that close and that we were 500 ft or more apart when evasive action was taken. Perhaps this situation could have been avoided had ryan tower had radar capability. I had not contacted tucson approach as I was more than 10 SM from tucson international and was still monitoring ryan tower at the time of the incident.

Title: NMAC BTWN AN SMA SEL CLBING OUT AND AN EXPERIMENTAL SMA SEL DSNDING TOWARD THE ARPT TFC PATTERN. BOTH ACFT TOOK EVASIVE ACTION TURNS TO ASSURE SEPARATION.

Narrative: AS I DEPARTED RYAN FIELD ON RWY 6, I HEARD AN ACFT, EXPERIMENTAL SMA Y, CALL THE TWR ADVISING THAT HE WAS 10 MI SE OF RYAN INBOUND. I HAD REQUESTED AND RECEIVED A R- HAND DEP SBOUND. SMA Y WAS INSTRUCTED TO ENTER R TFC FOR RWY 6R, WITH A 45 DEG ENTRY. AFTER DEPARTING ON A 45 DEG TURN, I CLBED TO 3200 FT (PATTERN ALT) THEN TURNED TO A HDG OF 180 DEGS STILL CLBING. AT ABOUT 4000 FT, I FINALLY SAW SMA Y ABOUT 500 FT OR MORE FROM ME AND ABOUT 100 FT HIGHER. AT THAT POINT, HE WAS MAKING A SHARP TURN TO THE R TO AVOID MY FLT PATH AND I DID LIKEWISE TO MAKE SURE HE SAW ME. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, I OVERHEARD THE PLT OF THE SMA Y ADVISE THE TWR THAT HE HAD MISSED ME BY 200 FT. I DO NOT BELIEVE WE WERE THAT CLOSE AND THAT WE WERE 500 FT OR MORE APART WHEN EVASIVE ACTION WAS TAKEN. PERHAPS THIS SIT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED HAD RYAN TWR HAD RADAR CAPABILITY. I HAD NOT CONTACTED TUCSON APCH AS I WAS MORE THAN 10 SM FROM TUCSON INTL AND WAS STILL MONITORING RYAN TWR AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT.
