Narrative:

On climb out from mci, I checked off ATC frequency to call company with departure times. When I returned to center frequency the captain notified me we were cleared to FL220 and to expect higher due to traffic. FL220 was in the MCP altitude alert window. Shortly thereafter, center asked us to confirm we were climbing to FL200. I read back that we were climbing to FL220 (we were passing 21200 ft). We then got a TCASII RA for traffic at our 10-11 O'clock and then center cleared us to FL230. I saw the traffic about 5-7 NM and we closed to about 3 NM. We leveled at FL230 uneventfully.
