Narrative:

On jun/xx/96 we approached fwa at 25000 ft MSL. After fwa we were cleared V220 to lfd cruxx 2 arrival to yip. 15 NM south of fwa we were cleared to cross 10 NM south of fwa 15 24000 ft MSL. We initiated the descent and leveled off at 24000 ft, 10.2 NM south of fwa VOR. In the meantime ZAU questioned our crossing altitude and said his radar showed us at 25000 ft 8 NM south of fwa VOR. I replied that we crossed 10 NM south at fwa at 24000 ft. We were then handed off to detroit approach. DME inaccuracy could have been a factor in our crossing restr.
