Narrative:
ASOS WX at XX56Z indicated that it had rained during the previous hour. The remarks gave a beginning and ending time for rain. The WX was clear, 70 degrees, and visibility 50+ mi. Once the obs was transmitted the remarks came out of the remarks box on the 1 min WX and so could not be edited out. The only way to eliminate the erroneous remarks would be to generate a special, even though the criteria for a special did not exist.
