Radar OTS for 7 hours and 20 mins due to the phone lines being cut. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that the radar site is 18 mi from the facility and claimed that the telephone company lines run 500-600 mi before they're routed to facility. Reporter indicated that a direct line from the site to the facility was to be installed earlier this year. Reporter stated that he was told that it is coming.

Narrative: RADAR OTS FOR 7 HRS AND 20 MINS DUE TO THE PHONE LINES BEING CUT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THAT THE RADAR SITE IS 18 MI FROM THE FACILITY AND CLAIMED THAT THE TELCO LINES RUN 500-600 MI BEFORE THEY'RE ROUTED TO FACILITY. RPTR INDICATED THAT A DIRECT LINE FROM THE SITE TO THE FACILITY WAS TO BE INSTALLED EARLIER THIS YEAR. RPTR STATED THAT HE WAS TOLD THAT IT IS COMING.
