At XX15 EST ZMA controllers were instructed to reduce radar data due to a system overload. This overload was caused by excessive WX in the south florida area. Controllers need to see all information and not be subject to computer limitations. The host computer is unable to handle the amount of radar data provided by existing sites.

Narrative: AT XX15 EST ZMA CTLRS WERE INSTRUCTED TO REDUCE RADAR DATA DUE TO A SYS OVERLOAD. THIS OVERLOAD WAS CAUSED BY EXCESSIVE WX IN THE S FLORIDA AREA. CTLRS NEED TO SEE ALL INFO AND NOT BE SUBJECT TO COMPUTER LIMITATIONS. THE HOST COMPUTER IS UNABLE TO HANDLE THE AMOUNT OF RADAR DATA PROVIDED BY EXISTING SITES.
