Narrative:

On departure from dca we realized we had not received the pre departure clearance clearance on our ACARS. We then obtained the correct clearance from departure control and proceeded to destination. This was caused by multiple distrs prior to gate departure. Pilots need to stay focused on their duties, especially during the hectic pre-gate departure time.
